Dubois Naval Architects have confirmed the passing away of Ed Dubois, 64, a well known yacht designer, following an illness. In spite of not coming from a sailing family, Dubois’s rage for designing boats began quite early. After that, he trained in Southampton as a naval architect, graduating in the year 1974.
After his graduation Dubois became a part of Jersey’s architects Alan Buchanan where he contrived his very first yacht, the Borsalino Trois that won the British Trials for 1976 Three-Quarter Ton Cup, RORC Class IV overall prize as well as the Solent Points Championship. (more…)
