Team New Zealand Will Win, Says Former Oracle Boss

Tom Ehman, the former boss of the Oracle team, feels that the Emirates Team New Zealand is the team that is going to take the 35th edition of the America’s Cup.

He feels that the Oracle Team USA does not have a chance of making such a stupendous comeback in the last part of the race to win the title. He is of the opinion that the Auld Mug is slowly slipping away from Team USA’s hands.

There is no doubt that Russell Coutts is having a close eye over the American boys and doing every bit in order to save Auld Mug. But, Team New Zealand is quite superior and there is every chance for them to lift the cup with a thumping victory. Ehman has over 35 years of involvement with the America’s Cup in various capacities.

Ehman had at first predicted that Oracle Team USA will be able to easily defend the popular America’s Cup title with a 7-3 victory margin. But, the great showing that Team New Zealand has put up in the first four races of the finals has made his change his opinion. They had to wipe off a -1 point deficit and did it in style and also took the next three races.

Ehman said that his prediction is not looking strong at the moment. He is sure that the 2013 event is not going to happen in 2017 when the New Zealand team squandered an 8-1 lead and finally lost to the Oracle team. He said that he does not give any chance for the Oracle Team to make a comeback in this edition.

Ehman is not counting them out and the team is quite resourceful. But, to get the better of the Kiwi team is a huge task and this might not be possible for the Oracle team this time round.
